Discover how you can become part of our vibrant community, whether as a young member or a dedicated volunteer.

Trustee Board
Support the Group behind the scenes by helping oversee finances, governance and future planning. Perfect if you have professional skills or simply want to help keep the Group running.

Team Leaders
Lead fun, engaging meetings for our young people, helping them learn new skills, make friends and build confidence. You’ll be supported by a team and don’t need to plan everything on your own.

Team Members
Help at weekly meetings by running activities, supporting games, lending a hand on trips and camps, or simply being another friendly face. A great role if you’d like to get involved without leading.

Occasional Helpers
Can’t commit regularly? No problem. Help when you can with camps, fundraising events, community activities or special evenings throughout the year.

Fundraising Team
Help us raise money for equipment, activities and adventures. Whether it’s organising events, writing funding applications or approaching local businesses, every contribution helps.

Administrator
Support the Group with emails, record keeping, membership administration and communications. Ideal if you’re organised and enjoy keeping things running smoothly.

Quartermaster
Help look after our equipment, from tents and camping gear to games and resources, ensuring everything is ready for our next adventure.

Maintenance & Grounds Team
Enjoy practical tasks? Help keep our headquarters and grounds safe, tidy and welcoming. This could be anything from painting and repairs to gardening or DIY projects.

Skills & Activity Volunteers
Have a hobby or profession you’d like to share? Whether you’re a first aider, musician, engineer, artist, photographer, climber or craft enthusiast, we’d love you to inspire our young people.
Give What You Can
We know life is busy, which is why volunteering with us is flexible. Some of our volunteers help every week, some once a month, and others only at camps or events.
Every hour you give creates opportunities for young people to learn, grow and experience adventure.
You don’t have to change your life to change someone else’s.
If you’d like to find out more, come along for a chat or visit a meeting. We’d love to welcome you to the 1st Arundel Scout Group family.
